Every year the GSMA runs the Global Mobile Awards contest, which honors excellence and innovation across the mobile industry.

Selected by a judging panel of independent experts, analysts, journalists, and academics (including MobiAD’s Jim Cook), here is a full list of the short-listed nominees, some of the best apps, services, and products in the world of mobile!

According to Michael O’Hara, Chief Marketing Officer of the GSMA, “The Global Mobile Awards recognize the world’s leading mobile devices, services, apps and technologies and this year, with a host of diverse categories reflecting the latest mobile trends, growth sectors and opportunities, we expect the competition to be even stronger than ever.”

Winners will be announced at the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on Tuesday, 25th February 2014.
